A fan-made home for South Florida football
305 Gridiron is run by one Miami fan (@jahzy on the site), not a network or a school district. Every number comes from a named public source, nothing here is for sale, and if something about a player is wrong or shouldn’t be here, it comes down on request.
Partner with the site
Seven category slots (gyms, sports medicine, restaurants, dealerships, law firms, youth leagues, photographers), one business each, first come. No partners yet, so the first one in each category owns it.
Watchlist
The games, players and storylines actually worth your Friday night. Hand-picked and sourced, refreshed on the same weekly rhythm as Scores. Not a live feed: this is researched and written by hand, the same honest way What If and Rivalries are.

Weekly recaps
Every reported final by county, compiled each weekThe Map
Every program we track across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. Pick a school for its record, coach, history and where its players ended up. Or switch to pipeline mode to see which schools feed the Hurricanes and the Dolphins.
School pins sit at their real campus coordinates, geocoded from the addresses in the federal school directory. The coastline and county shapes behind them are simplified. This is a schematic, not a survey map. One pin (Cardinal Newman) is positioned approximately because we couldn’t verify its coordinates; it’s marked on the map.

Where the talent goes
Each ribbon is one South Florida high school feeding one destination, sized by how many players it sent. This is counted from published rosters, not estimated.
Radar
Ranked South Florida prospects, who they picked, and when. Every rating below is a third-party service’s published number with the date we read it. None of it is 305 Gridiron’s evaluation of any player.
Commitment timeline
Only prospects with a date we could confirmProspects
Heights and weights are what the recruiting services list, not verified measurements. Services disagree with each other on the same player, which is a good sign these are estimates rather than measured numbers. We could not verify a single laser-timed 40, shuttle or vertical for anyone on this board, so no testing numbers are published here. If a number ever appears on this page it will name the event and the timing method, because hand times typically run about two tenths faster than laser times for the same run.
Recruiting notes
South Florida only, class of 2026, via LarryBlustein.comTwenty Miami-Dade and Broward names worth knowing beyond the headline board above. These are the facts each report gives (school, position, size), not 305 Gridiron’s read on how any of them fits a college roster; that kind of “local fit” call belongs to the recruiting services and coaches actually evaluating them, not to us.
Colleges
Every college a tracked South Florida recruit has committed to or signed with, with real program info and every prospect we have on record headed there. Sorted by how many local recruits each program has landed.
Conference and location are checked against each school’s current athletics site. Program colors below are widely-cited public values we have not checked against an official brand guide, so treat them as close, not exact.
Compare
Two prospects or two programs, stacked against each other on the real numbers we track: composite ratings, records, and roster shape. No simulated plays or predicted outcomes, just what’s actually on the board.
Composite ratings and state/national ranks are a recruiting service’s published numbers, not 305 Gridiron’s evaluation of either player. Heights and weights are service-listed, not measured.

South Plantation football
Broward County, Plantation, FL. 2026 record 0-3 from logged finals. 10 games on the schedule, 55 players on the roster. Head coach: Rodricel Williams (as of September 2026).

Rankings
Where South Florida sits in the statewide picture: the top-ranked recruits coming out of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, and where local programs land in the state poll.
Both boards below are real, sourced third-party rankings. Recruit ratings and ranks come from the Rivals Industry composite, and the team poll is High School Football America’s Florida Top 25. Recruiting services often disagree on star counts for the same player, so this shows each prospect’s composite rating and statewide rank rather than a star number. Nothing here is 305 Gridiron’s own evaluation of anyone.
305 Power Rankings
Computed, not votedThis is the one ranking on the site that is ours, and it ranks teams, never individual students. It’s arithmetic, not opinion: no one votes, and the full working is shown for every team so you can check it.
How the number is calculated
Each team gets a score out of 100 from three parts. Where we haven’t logged a team’s individual games, the two parts that need game data score neutral rather than being dropped. Dropping them would hand an unproven team a free pass on who it played and by how much, which is how a 3-0 against nobody ends up ahead of a 3-0 that beat somebody good. Every row says when a component was scored neutral.
- Win rate: 50%. Wins divided by games played.
- Strength of schedule: 30%. The average win rate of the opponents a team has actually faced, counting only opponents we also track. Beating good teams is worth more than beating bad ones.
- Scoring margin: 20%. Average points for minus points against per game, capped at ±28 so one blowout can’t carry a season.
Early-season caveat, stated plainly: most teams have played two or three games. Two or three games is not enough to separate teams honestly, so treat September numbers as a rough sort, not a verdict. Teams with fewer than two games played are listed but marked provisional.
Tiers, in plain language
The same Power Rankings scores, bucketed and explainedFour groups instead of one long list. Same computed scores as above, just grouped so the gaps between teams are easier to read at a glance. Buckets are re-cut every time the numbers change, not fixed in advance.

Stat leaders
A snapshot of individual statistical leaders from real South Florida programs, sourced from MaxPreps and refreshed on the same weekly schedule as Scores.
Unlike Rankings and Scouting, these are real students’ real public stats. The same numbers MaxPreps already publishes. There’s no commentary or grading attached here, just the count. It’s an early-season snapshot (small sample sizes this early), taken from South Florida programs only. Not a statewide leaderboard.
Scores
Real final scores and real upcoming matchups between these programs, updated as finals are posted.
Game-day guide: weather, field & getting there
South Florida high school football runs hot and humid into late September. Afternoon thunderstorms are common early season and are the usual reason a kickoff gets delayed, while November and December playoff games are the coolest and driest of the year. This is general regional seasonal pattern, not a live forecast for any specific game. Check a real weather app for that.
Getting there: use Waze or Google Maps for live traffic rather than anything static here, and plan to arrive well before kickoff. Stadium lots at rivalry games fill up early. Ticket and streaming links on each game above go straight to GoFan and NFHS Network, the schools’ own services.
From the stands
Scores and tips sent in by coaches, parents and fans. They post straight away, marked unverified until matched against a published source.
Tips from the community
How reports and tips work
Anyone signed in can send a score or a tip. Because these post immediately, an unverified report is one person’s account of a game and nothing more. It hasn’t been checked, and it may be wrong. Confirmed reports carry a green check and the source they were matched against. Recaps written with AI assistance say so on the card; they’re generated only from the score and notes the submitter typed in, and they can’t add details nobody supplied. Submitters can delete their own posts.
Tips are for photos, scoop and corrections, about the game, never about any student’s life off the field. If something here is wrong about your program, email the address in the Privacy Policy and it comes down.
Going, or watching from home. Miami-Dade schools sell digital tickets through GoFan, and games are streamed and kept on demand by NFHS Network, so Tickets, Watch and Replay all open those sites in a new tab, on the program’s own page where we’ve confirmed it and the general page otherwise. Two things worth knowing before you click: NFHS Network usually requires a paid subscription, and not every game is ticketed or streamed at all. 305 Gridiron doesn’t sell tickets, stream anything, earn a cent from either, or have any affiliation with GoFan or NFHS Network. Prices, availability and what actually gets broadcast are entirely theirs.

What If
A couple of real, documented South Florida high school football moments: what actually happened, sourced, followed by one clearly-labeled “what if” that’s just us wondering out loud, not a claim about what would have happened.
This is high-school-only for now. Anything built around the Miami Hurricanes’ championship teams or the Dolphins’ Super Bowl era needs the same kind of real, sourced research we did for these two. That hasn’t been done yet, so we’re not guessing at it.
Rivalries
The real series that define South Florida high school football: how they started, what they mean locally, and where they stand. Six series across all three counties, each researched and sourced; more get added the same way.

Sports Illustrated / High School On SI preseason pollEvery fact on this page is sourced: nfhs.org, Newsweek, the Miami Times, LarryBlustein.com, High School Football America and Sports Illustrated / High School On SI, linked where each fact appears. This is a new section for us; it will grow the same researched way the rest of the site did, not all at once.
Highlights
Every clip the players themselves have put on their card: Hudl film, YouTube tape, whatever they want scouts and fans to see. Tap any one to watch it.
Clips open on the site the player posted them to (Hudl, YouTube and the rest) in a new tab. 305 Gridiron doesn’t host or re-upload anyone’s film, and only links a player added to their own card ever appears here.
Team film on NFHS Network
Full game broadcasts and replays for every program in the Teams tab, streamed by NFHS Network. Pick a program to see what they have.
These are whole games on NFHS Network, not short highlight clips, and watching usually needs a paid NFHS Network subscription. We link to each program’s page there; we don’t host, re-upload or clip anyone’s broadcast, and 305 Gridiron isn’t affiliated with NFHS Network. Where a program doesn’t have a page we’ve confirmed, the link opens NFHS Network to search. Some programs simply aren’t streamed.
Scouting notes
Notes coaches, scouts and fans leave on player cards. But only on cards whose owner has opened them for notes.
Players control this completely. A note can only be left on a card whose owner turned notes on, and that player can delete any note on their own card at any time. Notes are attributed to the account that wrote them, accounts aren’t identity-verified, and there are no letter grades. These are observations, not evaluations of a minor by anyone official.
Player cards
Self-made cards from players across South Florida: their number, position, best stat, offers, highlights and links, all entered by the player.
Cards are posted by players themselves (or a parent, guardian or coach with their permission) from a verified account. Players are often under 18, so we keep it simple: if you are a parent, guardian, coach or the player and want a card changed or removed, and it comes down within one business day, no questions asked.

Questions
How do I cancel?
From the receipt email Stripe sends you (the “manage your subscription” link), or by asking us in the chat. Cancel anytime; perks run to the end of the month you paid for.
Do I need an account first?
Yes, a free one. The username you enter at checkout is how we find you. Players: the account that owns your card is the one to use.
I’m a parent paying for my player. What do I enter?
Your player’s 305 Gridiron username, so the perks land on their card. Under-18s should have a parent or guardian be the one who subscribes.
Does anything on the free site get locked?
No. Scores, rosters, rankings, cards, chat and Predict stay free for everyone. Insider adds on top; it never takes away.
Is it a paid ranking or a paid write-up?
No. Membership never changes a ranking, a record or what we write about a player. It changes where a card sits on the page and what tools you get, and that’s all.

About 305 Gridiron
A fan-made, ad-free home for South Florida high school football. Built in Miami, sourced from public records, and kept honest about what it does and doesn’t know.
Real data, refreshed weekly
Team names, records, rosters, scores and stat leaders come from MaxPreps. Recruit rankings are the 247Sports and Rivals composites. The state poll is High School Football America’s. Playoff structure and results are FHSAA’s. Each is republished with attribution and refreshed on a weekly schedule. The date is on every page that shows it.
305 Power Rankings, by arithmetic
Published records and logged games go through a formula that’s printed on the Rankings page. It ranks teams, never students. Nothing on this site is 305 Gridiron’s evaluation of any player. Every rating is a third party’s number with the date we read it.
Cards, film and notes
Players create their own cards: number, position, best stat, offers, highlight links, a photo if they want one. Scouting notes only appear on cards whose owner turned them on, and that player can delete any note. Any player or parent can have anything removed by asking; no reason required.

Where does the data come from, and how current is it?
Records, rosters, scores and stat leaders are sourced from MaxPreps; recruit rankings from the 247Sports Composite and the Rivals Industry composite; the state poll from High School Football America; playoff results and structure from FHSAA. Everything refreshes on a weekly schedule and can drift between refreshes. The “as of” date is shown wherever a number appears.
Are the rankings your opinion of players?
No. Recruit ratings and the state poll are third-party numbers, republished with attribution. The only ranking that is ours, the 305 Power Rankings, is arithmetic on real team records with the formula printed on the page, and it ranks teams, not students.
How do I get a roster entry, card, note or account removed?
or use the live chat. Players, parents and guardians don’t need to explain why. We take it down. Players can also delete their own card and any note on it from their account menu at any time.
Is it free? Are there ads or tracking?
Free, no ads, and nothing is sold. The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. On thegridiron305.blog we ask once whether you’ll allow anonymous Google Analytics so we can see which pages are used; decline and nothing loads. Signing in stores your username and a password hash in your own browser so you stay signed in.
What is Insider, and what does the $5 pay for?
Insider is an optional $5-a-month membership billed by Stripe. It adds perks (a verified badge and featured spot for player cards, a member badge, a vote on what we cover next, exports and printable sheets for coaches) and pays for the site’s hosting and research. It never changes a ranking or a write-up, and nothing that’s free today goes behind it. Details on the .
How fast do you reply, and is the chat really live?
Messages sent through chat or email get a reply within one business day. That’s a promise, not a target. The chat is genuinely live: when the person who runs the site is signed in, you’ll see a green “Online now” and replies land in real time. When we’re away it says so, your message is saved, and you get the reply the next time we’re on (or by email if you leave one).

What we collect
If you create an account: a username, an email address, and a password (which is hashed on your own device before it’s stored (see Security below), plus the role you pick (Fan, Player, or Scout: self-declared, not verified). If you favorite a team or player, we store that team/player ID against your account.
If you choose to create a Player Card, you decide what to add: name, jersey number, position, best stat, team, class year, offers received, an optional photo, social media handles or links, highlight video links, and a self-rated star rating. All of it is optional except name, jersey number, and best stat, and all of it is shown publicly to anyone who opens the site.
If you post a scouting note on a player card, we store the note text, your account handle, and the date. Notes can only be posted on cards whose owner turned notes on, and that player can delete any note on their card. Insider members can mark a note private; a private note is stored the same way but only shown to the account that wrote it.
If you join Insider, we store your membership status and dates against your username. Your display name appears on the Supporters wall unless you turn that off from your account menu. Picks you make on Predict are stored with your username and shown on the leaderboard.
What we don’t collect
- No ad tracking and no advertising identifiers. The only analytics is optional: on thegridiron305.blog we ask once whether you’ll allow anonymous Google Analytics page counts (IP anonymized, no ads features). If you decline, or never answer, it never loads. And you can change your answer from the “Analytics choice” link in the footer.
- No location tracking beyond whatever your browser already sends any website.
- No payment information on this site. The optional Insider membership is billed by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page; we receive the username you type there, the email you gave Stripe, and whether the subscription is active. We never see your card number.
- No data collection beyond what’s described above; we don’t buy, sell, or share your information with data brokers or advertisers.
Team, roster, score, news, ranking, stat, and playoff data
Team names, records, rosters, game scores, news headlines, recruit rankings, state poll positions, stat leaders, and playoff results are not collected from you. They’re real, public information sourced from outlets like MaxPreps, the Rivals Industry composite, High School Football America, FHSAA, and the news sites linked on each item, refreshed on a weekly schedule. Those rankings are the third party’s evaluations, republished with attribution. Not ours.
Rosters list the name, jersey number, position and graduation year each program already publishes for its players. If you’re a player, parent or guardian and want an entry removed from this site, email us below and we’ll take it down. You don’t have to explain why.
Security: please read this one
Your password is hashed in your browser before it’s ever stored, so we never see or store your plain password. That said, this site has no traditional backend, no encryption-at-rest guarantee, and no separate, access-controlled storage per account. Account and card data lives in a shared database used by the app. Please don’t reuse a password here that you use anywhere important.
Cookies & local storage
We don’t use tracking cookies. Analytics cookies exist only if you opt in on the public site. See the Cookie Policy for exactly what we do use.
Children & minors
This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. High-school-age users creating Player Cards are typically minors under 18 who are choosing to represent themselves publicly (name, stats, photo, links), if you’re a parent or guardian and want a minor’s card, report, or account removed, contact us below and we’ll take it down.
Your choices
You can sign out anytime, edit or delete your Player Card, and unfavorite teams/players from your account menu. To request full account deletion, or removal of any content about you or a minor you’re responsible for, email us below.

By uploading a photo or posting a Player Card, scouting report, or any other content, you confirm it’s yours to share (or you have permission to share it), and you agree it will be shown publicly to anyone who opens the site. Don’t post content that:
- Isn’t yours, or that you don’t have rights to use;
- Impersonates another real person;
- Harasses, bullies, or targets anyone, including other student-athletes;
- Is illegal, obscene, or knowingly false.
We can remove content that breaks these rules without notice.
Insider membership
Insider is an optional membership billed by Stripe at $5 per month, tax included, until you cancel. Cancel anytime from the link in your Stripe receipt or by asking us; perks run to the end of the period you paid for and partial months aren’t refunded, except where a perk we promised wasn’t delivered. Perks are switched on by hand within one business day of payment, using the username entered at checkout. Membership never affects a ranking, a record or anything we write about a player; the perks are the ones listed on the Insider page, and that list can change over time. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must be the one who subscribes.
Predict rewards
Predict is free to play and no purchase is ever required to enter or win. A pick cannot be changed once made and stands until the game’s final score. Points and winners are computed from the picks and final scores shown on the site; the scoring rules and any current prize are published on the Predict page. Prizes are provided by 305 Gridiron, not by any school, Stripe or MaxPreps; a prize for a winner under 18 is arranged through a parent or guardian. We can substitute a prize of equal value and we correct scoring mistakes when a score changes.
No warranty
This site is provided “as is.” Real-world data (scores, records, news, stat leaders, playoff results) comes from third-party public sources and a weekly refresh. It can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Illustrative rankings and scouting reports (outside Player Cards) are placeholders, not scouting judgments about real people. We don’t guarantee uptime, accuracy, or that the site will keep existing.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, 305 Gridiron and its operator aren’t liable for damages arising from your use of the site, including reliance on any data shown here.
Governing law
These terms are intended to be read under Florida law, given the site’s subject matter, but this hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer and isn’t a substitute for proper legal drafting.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes; the date above reflects the latest revision.

Cookie Policy
Last updated September 2026.
The short version
305 Gridiron sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The one non-essential thing we’d like to use is Google Analytics for anonymous page counts, and it only ever loads on thegridiron305.blog after you say yes to the one-time question at the bottom of the page. Say no, or say nothing, and it never loads. Your answer is remembered in your browser and can be changed anytime from the “Analytics choice” link in the footer.
What this site does use
Browser local storage (not a cookie). When you sign in, we save your username and password hash in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in on that device next time. Your theme, language, live-chat thread ID and analytics answer are stored the same way. None of it is used for tracking or advertising, none of it is shared with anyone, and you can clear it anytime by signing out or clearing your browser’s site data.
Google Analytics cookies (only if you allow it). If you accept the analytics question on thegridiron305.blog, Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to tell repeat visits apart. We configure it with IP anonymization and with advertising features off, and we only look at which pages get used. Decline and no analytics cookie is ever set.
Third parties we load from
Google Fonts. This page loads its typefaces from Google’s font servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Like any font or CDN request, that sends your device’s IP address and browser information to Google when the page loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how they handle that.
Cloudinary (thegridiron305.blog only). The two atmosphere photographs on the public site (the stadium behind the home page headline and the field on the About page) are served from Cloudinary’s image CDN (res.cloudinary.com), which sees your IP address and browser information when they load, the same way a font request does. Both images are generated illustrations of an empty field, not photographs of any real venue, game or person. See Cloudinary’s Privacy Policy.
Firebase (thegridiron305.blog only). The public site’s shared database runs on Google Firebase, so the page loads the Firebase SDK from Google’s servers and reads and writes scores, rosters, cards and chat messages through it. That is the site’s own storage, not a tracker.
Stripe. Nothing from Stripe loads on this site. “Join Insider” is a plain link to a checkout page on stripe.com, where Stripe’s own cookie policy applies.
We don’t load any other third-party scripts, embeds, trackers, or ads.
